Best gloves you'll ever own

So first off about the gloves. These are the best I have used. I had used Harbinger gloves for years and had to replace them every few months. The Harbingers would start falling apart and would also begin to smell bad even after washing and airing out. The Schiek gloves however are made of a higher quality material and the workmanship is top notch. I do advise you buy a size smaller than the Harbingers because these do tend to run large. XL Harbingers would be equal to a Large with the Schiek. Also the leather does require about a week (4-5 works outs) to break in comfortably. Also I used them for 3 months and a couple wash's and their is no lingering nasty sweat oder.

As for customer service, I bought these from Fogdog and they are very prompt to respond to emails. I did have a issue with the thumb ares starting to split on both gloves and I must say i was a bit unhappy. When contacting Fogdog they gave me the customer service # to Schiek and I called them and actually spoke to a live person. They apologized for my problem and assured me this is not a common problem. I was asked to send in the gloves for them to inspect and less than a week later I have just received a brand new pair. Fantastic customer service from both parties.

If you are looking for quality gloves spend the extra money and buy these. You won't be sorry.

These gloves are great. I lifted for about 3 years when I was younger and wouldn't use anything other than nike lifting gloves. I started lifting again in march and found nike doesn't make gloves any more. I did a lot of searching around for gloves on the net and in store. After trying many pairs on and reading reviews online about all the gloves out there, I decided to give these a try. I had read several reviews about these gloves and have some schiek lifting straps that I love. I have used the gloves for about 3 weeks now and I love them. My workout bench is 275 lbs and max at 325 lbs and they great as far comfort and grip putting up a good amount of weight. I have also found that my hands don't really sweat a lot in them as they did in some of my old nike pairs. There are a few exercises they get in the way...but I would feel that way no matter what gloves I was wearing.

Was looking for decent pair of gel padded workout gloves that would be good for all around weightlifting as well as provide a little extra comfort and protection on my "heavy days" (just like a bad tampon commercial... ). Anyway, perused the local sporting goods stores and tried on all the usual suspects, but never did find a pair of these particular gloves available on the shelf to try on. However decided to buy them sight unseen through Amazon simply because they seemed to have all the features of the best made gloves and the fins seemed like a great idea (good fitting workout gloves are indeed hard to get off - especially after a nice sweaty workout). Was a little concerned about the sizing, but luckily their sizing (at least for size L) seems to be consistent with the sizing of the brand X and brand Y gloves I had tried on in the stores and upon arrival they fit as hoped for.

After using these gloves for a few weeks, I must say they are all I hoped they would be. My acne has cleared up, my libido has gone through the roof and even my girlfriend's mother and little sister have been openly hitting on me. Not only that but the gel padding does in fact, as I had hoped, provide sufficient comfort on those Heavy Days and at the same time the gloves provide enough dexterity that I can still fumble my cell phone out of my sweat pants pocket and fire off text messages to you know who without having to remove the gloves - and when the time does come to remove them the fins do work superbly - and personally, I think the fins are somewhat aesthetically pleasing in a sort of Mad Max Beyond ThunderDome kind of way.

I haven't ran them through the washer yet (dirty boy that I am), so I can't say how they are going to hold up to that nor can I really predict their long term durability, but I would be surprised if they don't hold up fairly well for awhile and so far I can see no obvious reasons why they won't. Overall, in my opinion a perfectly pleasing purchase worthy of my highest rating... quite unlike the reconditioned Weedeater SST25 I just bought through Amazon - but that is for another day and another review (one with a few less stars attached, unfortunately).

Meanwhile, have a great day, and cheers to all!

PS: on a side note, I should mention that the picture associated with the Large version of these gloves - at least at the time of purchase and still as I'm writing this - is not a very good representation of what the gloves look like at all - almost looks like a slightly different glove design. If you look at some of the other sizes available you can see what the gloves really look like.

Schiek Sports Schiek Gloves 530, Large

I am a heavy weight lifter and my first pair lasted for 10 year. You cannot go wrong with these bad boys. The wrist strap is very sturdy, but does not interfere with any lifts.

I've tried other weight lifting gloves from Harbinger, and they just don't compare to these Schiek gloves. The gloves really hold up well to wear and tear, and the fins on the fingers make it very easy to take off the gloves after a hard workout. I think these gloves are just made better than others. I'm a loyal Schiek customer now.

Note: Glove size runs small. I had to move one size up for the right fit. After moving up one size, no problems - great fit.

    Best lifting gloves ever!

They don't stink like leather. They don't wear out. You can dead-lift 300+ pounds on a regular basis and they will still look brand spanking new.

And they are super easy to take on and off. They smell good. They look good--even better in person than the picture for sure!

The cushioning is NOT TOO MUCH! You can still FEEL THE BAR. Just enough cushioning to protect hands and palms, but not overdoing it like Harbinger.

NO STUPID GEL injected into it.

I've looked at tons of gloves, and these are it!

I have purchased gloves for several years and have found these to outlast all others, which makes the seemingly high price reasonable. They are also easy to take off after a long and sweaty workout simply by pulling on the fins which are at the tops of each finger. Just enough padding to provide some protection and still feel the iron. I have tried cheaper gloves and always come back to these.
